"Samson The Mighty McNamar"

Samson, our very first Boxer,  has currently retired from the breeding ring.   He is 10 years old and was given the opportunity in March 2008 to  sire one more litter, of which he was successful!   Samson got a late start on "sowing his wild oats".  He was 6 years old when he sired his first litter.  And since then, he has sired a total of 4 litters.   His litters always consisted of both fawn and brindle coat colors, with traditional and flashy markings. 

 He is a Brindle with extended white markings.   We call him a Check Boxer.  When describing him to people,  Shannon says  "he looks like a painted horse". Coincidently his father's name is, My Painted Mickey, and Samson is an exact  replica of his dad.  He has one blue eye and one brown eye.  At his prime, he weighed 70-75# and currently he is around 60-65#. 

Samson, is a very loving and mild mannered Boxer.  He has always been a laid back, friendly-to-all temperament dog.  He slobbers more than most would like and wants to be in constant contact with his humans.  Whether that be a paw on the arm or leg or his favorite place - sitting right on top of your lap!  Even at the ripe old age of 10, he still has that Boxer puppy "playfulness" drive when his health and joints allow him to do so. 

We love our "Sammy" and will be very sad the day he must leave us.  He will be dearly missed.  But until that time, he has his own "Boxer Hilton Retirement Home" with his soul-mate Ms. Delilah and he will be well taken care of!
